Some projects remind us why we do what we do. The 2025 Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C) television special was one of them.
Hosted at the Pinnacle Theater in Nashville, this year’s broadcast carried a mission bigger than entertainment—uniting music, film, and design to fuel the fight against cancer.
At EYEIDEA Studios, we partnered with Producer Mark Stepp at UpperCut Media and Producers Emily Wolfe, Elizabeth Kelly, Kristine Pregot, and Phil Rosenberg with Done + Dusted to bring the show’s visuals to life. Our team created the VFX for the opening sequence and the motion graphics for the main title logo, crafted primarily in After Effects. Every glow, every frame, every transition was designed to set a tone of hope and determination.
The night was filled with powerful performances—Jonas Brothers, Noah Cyrus, Gavin DeGraw, Marcus King, Brothers Osborne, Jon Pardi, Jelly Roll, Dan + Shay, and CeCe Winans with the Nashville Community Gospel Choir—each performance backed by stories of courage and survival. Pre-taped segments featured voices like Kevin Bacon, Jamie Foxx, Tim McGraw, Zoe Saldaña, Keith Urban, and Reese Witherspoon, while Sheryl Crow not only hosted but performed, carrying the show’s emotional resonance forward.
Behind the artistry, the mission was clear: raise critical funds for research that saves lives. This year also marked a first—the SU2C special broadcast from the heart of Music City. Survivors shared their journeys, researchers shared breakthroughs, and even the future role of AI in cancer treatment was spotlighted.
For us, this project wasn’t just about pixels and keyframes. It was about contributing our craft to a cause that matters.
