Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information EYEIDEA LLC collects when you visit eyeidea.com, create an account or license footage, what we do with it, and the choices you have. In short: we collect what we need to sell you a license and deliver your files, we never sell your information, and we don’t run advertising trackers.

What we collect

• Order and account details: your name, email address, billing address, phone number (optional) and company name if you give one, plus what you licensed, which license, the price and the date. If you create an account, your login details too.
• Payment details: handled by our payment processors, WooPayments (powered by Stripe) and PayPal. Card numbers go straight to them; we never see or store your full card number. We receive the card type, the last four digits and the payment result.
• Download records: when you download a licensed file we record the date, time and IP address. This is part of your proof of license and helps us stop link sharing.
• Messages: what you send us through the contact form or by email.
• Technical information: like every website, our host keeps server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested, time) for security and to keep the site running.

How we use it

• To process your order, deliver your files and keep a record of your license.
• To send order confirmations, receipts and download links, and to answer your questions.
• To prevent fraud and keep the site secure.
• To send occasional news and offers from EYEIDEA, only if you have bought from us or signed up, and you can unsubscribe from any of them with one click.
• To meet legal and tax obligations.

Who we share it with

We never sell or rent your personal information, and we don’t share it for other companies’ advertising. We share only what each of these services needs to do its job for us:

• Payments: WooPayments / Stripe and PayPal, to take payment and prevent fraud.
• Hosting: DreamHost, which hosts the website, its database and our email.
• Delivery: Cloudflare, which runs our domain name and stores and delivers previews and licensed files.
• WooCommerce, the store software we run on our own site.
• Authorities, when the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone’s safety.

Cookies

We use only the cookies the store needs to work: keeping items in your cart, signing you in to your account and completing checkout. To see how many people visit and where they come from, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without identifying or following you. Our payment processors set their own cookies during checkout to prevent fraud. The site also remembers whether you chose light or dark mode, in your own browser. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Blocking cookies in your browser may stop the cart and checkout from working.

How long we keep it

Your licenses are perpetual, so we keep order records (who licensed what, when, and under which license) for as long as EYEIDEA exists. They are your proof of license and ours. Account details are kept while your account is open. Contact messages are kept as long as needed to deal with them. Server logs are kept for a limited time by our host.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop sending you marketing email. Depending on where you live (for example California under the CCPA, or the EU and UK under the GDPR) you may have further rights, including data portability and the right to complain to a data protection authority. If you ask us to delete your information, we will close your account and remove what we can, but we keep order and license records where the law or your license requires it. We will not treat you differently for using any of these rights.

Security

The site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). Licensed files are stored privately and released only through short-lived, signed download links after an order is paid. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit who can access personal information and keep our software up to date.

Children

eyeidea.com is a business service and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will post the new version here with a new date. If a change is significant, we will tell customers by email.
